EASA 2020 EAN network meeting, July 20th, 2020

Please join our network meeting at the EASA virtual conference. The EAN Network meeting is scheduled for Monday July 20th, from 09:00-11:00 WEST/ Lisbon summer time (GMT+1). The meeting will take place on the Shindig platform, and will be accessible to all who have the link, i.e. you don’t have to be registered for the conference in order to participate.

During the meeting we need to discuss:

1)     Network convenor: As we, Simone and Nathalie, are both resigning, we need to find new network convenor. Being a co-convenor is both rewarding and full of potential. Quite flexible and adaptable in scope and content, the tasks include, in its broadest understanding, the coordination of EAN-related events and activities, be it online and offline.

We are also seeking nominations for  a secretary/social media coordinator, responsible for managing EAN’s social media network.

If you have any questions about the role, you are welcome to contact the convenors. If you have any further suggestions for additional posts or would like to nominate someone, please contact us or post a discussion to the list.

2)     The decision regarding our next EAN Workshop 2021 (where, when, and on which topic?) To have an idea of what a Workshop can be like, you can look at the previous one we convened in Lyon < https://etechfutures.sciencesconf.org/> on “Energy and technologies futures”. We encourage you to start making suggestions for our next Workshop, in terms of where, when, and on which topic it could be.

Anyone interested can use the link to RSVP. They enter their name, email, institution and an hour before the meeting they’ll receive an automated email reminding them to login.  From 59 minutes before the meeting begins, that same URL changes from being an RSVP to direct entry into the meeting.
